Obituary of Mildred Anne-Laura Buckner

WEAVERVILLE– Mildred Anne-Laura Buckner, age 83, of Weaverville, died Monday, November 5, 2018. Mildred was born December 1, 1934 in Madison County to the late Tillery H. and Grace Wild Buckner; she was a resident of Buncombe County for the past 32 years. She was a faithful member of West Asheville Baptist Church and the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class. Surviving are her sister, Janet Buckner of Weaverville; and brother, Charles Buckner and wife, Mary Anne of Clemmons. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Rev. Dr. Charles Buckner and Harry Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Bowman-Rector Cemetery, Marshall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
