Obituary of Donald Michael Foreman

WEAVERVILLE– Donald Michael Foreman, age 81 of Weaverville, NC; formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Lynnwood, WA; died Thursday, November 15, 2018. Mr. Foreman was born May 18, 1937 in Charleston, WV and graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School, Miami, FL. He married his high school sweetheart, Diann Eng November 23, 1956. He enjoyed military history, football, cooking, and collecting and shooting guns. Mr. Foreman started his career with Western Electric and retired with 40 years of service from AT&T as a supervisor. He volunteered with the Lynnwood Police Department and served in the US Marine Reserves. Preceding him in death are his parents, Maurice Lee Foreman and Mary Louise Bishop Foreman; daughter, Sheila Foreman Grasso; and brother, Joseph Foreman. Surviving are his wife, Diann Eng Snyder; daughter, Donna Foreman; son, Michael Foreman and wife Libby; grandchildren, Cara Swirski and husband Dominick; Maria Bennett and husband Jeff; and Rachel Laser; also five great grandchildren and son-in-law, Vince Grasso. His memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, Weaverville, NC. The family will greet friends following the service.
