Obituary of Peggy Roberts Williams

ALEXANDER – Peggy Roberts Williams age 85, of Alexander, died Thursday, November 29, 2018. Mrs. Williams was born November 4, 1933 in Morristown, TN to the late Walton and Rena Roberts; she was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. She loved to play Bingo in Cherokee, spending time at the beach and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy formerly worked at Vanderbilt Shirt Company, Thermo Fisher and later Red Oak Crossing. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, John Roberts and sisters, Anna Lee Young and Mabel Ellison. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Harold Williams; daughter, Sandra W. Kiser of Weaverville; brothers, Bob Roberts of Asheville and J.R. Roberts of Hendersonville; granddaughter, Missy Payne and husband Robbie of Weaverville; grandson, Nathan Kiser and wife Ashley of Erwin, TN; great-grandchildren, Knoxx Payne and Kannon Kiser. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Austin Brigmon will officiate. Burial will follow in Red Oak Church of Christ Cemetery, Weaverville. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
