I know I'm probably just one out of thousands whose hearts broke to hear Brandee's amazing presence had left us. She was very dear to my family, particularly my brother Pat, whom she graduated high school with, and her memory will most definitely be with each one of us until the day we join her on the other side. I'm just counting my blessings for the time we did have with her, because there were truly none that could match that Brandee Ponder brand of generosity or her loving, welcoming, and just plain happy spirit. I guess what I'm trying to say is, there's a place in each one of us, now empty, that no one else will ever be able to fill... You are and will be forever missed, Brandee, I hope you always felt as much love from my family as we always felt from you. Thank you for being you, and thank God for allowing us the blessing of you in our lives. I'll catch ya on the flip side, when I can sweep you off your feet and give you a hug! ♥

What a ray of sunshine Brandee brought as she rolled down the school hallway into my office. There we would share laughter and even tears but mostly friendship that lasted through many years. Our faith In God secured that friendship. Later at Asheville Ford I wasn’t the least bit surprised to see her working diligently at her job. I admired Brandee for her courage and determination to be all she could be in life. She told me one day that her mom was her very best friend! I saw that friendship in many ways between them. God will reunite this family again and at that time life will be perfect! I will pray for your Family and I hope your memories with Brandee will comfort you in the days ahead! My memories with her always make me smile. What a gift God gave me when Brandee came into my life. I was blessed to know her.. God cares that you are broken at this time...”And you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” John 16:22

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother
and found comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -

the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's
promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort, I turn to

I first met Brandee, years ago, at one of the KISS Country Radiothons for Mission Children's. With her smile and outgoing personality, how could you not fall immediately under her spell & in love with her? As is her way, we became fast friends. I was able to work with her during many Ms. NC Wheelchair Pageants, first as a Judge's Coordinator and then as a Judge. We spent lots of Radiothons together--volunteering where needed, so many concerts, dinners with Sharon Green, and lots of private chatting through Messenger. I consider myself to be very blessed. I was granted time, love and friendship with a true angel on earth. My prayers are with Brandee's family as they navigate through grief and a journey of their own. Please know that Brandee touched so many lives with her caring concern and love. Her love of life is something I will always cherish as a reminder to myself...live for each day. Thank you for sharing her with the world!!

Words cannot express what Brandee meant to me. I was beyond blessed to call her one of my best friends. Her smile lit up a room and her laughter was infectious. I am a better person because of Brandee, her love, friendship, but most of all her witness and faithfulness. I pray the Lord will place a hedge of strength around you all, give you strength when you need it and hold you close. I love you all dearly.
