To the Mace family~
I was so saddened to hear of Greg's passing. Growing up, I have fond memories of attending the Weaverville Presbyterian Church together and always being Jeff's little brother with a wonderful smile. Through his adult life, I enjoyed seeing him at Special Olympics and Lake Julian...he will be missed. Sending my love to all of you and wishing you God's peace.
With hugs and prayers - Becky

I am offering my sincere condolences to the Mace family. I have known Chief for 30 years. I did not know about this until a few minutes ago. I knew him through Chris and Clark Henderson. We played ball together ,we worked together ,we partied together and heck we actually danced together one time.He always made me laugh and I always enjoyed my time with him. Naturally we lost touch with each other through the years but I always remembered his laugh and his charm. May he rest in peace and dance with Jesus in Heaven.

Greg and I grew up together. He was my neighbor; and, we graduated school together. We would play together all the time. I remember I would go to his house and his mom would make us fried baloney sandwiches. My heart is broken that we have lost such a gentle soul. But, we have all been blessed by having him touch our lives in so many ways. Love you, Greg. You were an amazing man.

Greg worked with special Olympic athletes and he really enjoyed spending time with them
He was loved by the athletes and it was a pleasure seeing him interacting with them.
He would drive up to practices in a huge truck that’ the athletes called the “bat mobile “ and he would enjoy hearing them call his vehicle by name.
He would speak often of his family and spending the night in his camper when the snow was to great or the power went out in his house
We live in Florida now and are saddened to hear of his passing
