Carlos and The Atkins family hold a place in our hearts. We purchased Carlos and Lorraine’s home built in 1960 as our first family home. Carlos sold it to us on a handshake and a smile. He adored our daughter as I can see he did his own granddaughters. We were so sad to hear of his passing and wish the family love and support at this time. Cheers to a great man and a true Barnardsville legacy.

My condolences to the Atkin family. He was always a great friend and neighbor to the Allen family. He and I had some great times watching Tar Heel basketball at Pete Carson’s back before everyone had TVs. Rest In Peace and may God’s grace give all the family comfort.

I’m so sorry to hear of Carlos passing. He was an honest, thoughtful, proud father and grandfather. He always supplied my family with fresh vegetables in the summer, I can see him now carrying a brown paper bag in store. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill , Kim and family.

From my 1st memories you all have been part of my life and such wonderful friends to me and my family. Carlos loved to aggravate, always laughing, was kindhearted and genuinely good to his friends and neighbors. Carlos was a man that I looked up to so much. My heart is aching for each of you and I am so sorry. May God's comforting arms surround you all.
