Nellie Ruth, Alan, Dale, Phyllis,
I never really knew Phil personally, but as most people in Weaverville, I remember seeing him at Ingles for many years always smiling. Steve remembers him fondly. There are never enough words to comfort you when you lose someone you love so dearly. Please know we are thinking of you and will keep you in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Phyllis, Dale and Emily and the rest of the family.
We want to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Phil was the most wonderful neighbor to us. He was always willing and ready to lend a hand to help us with things to do in our house or our garden. His smiling face always lit up ours when he came to check on us regularly. And we are so grateful to God for giving him to us as our favorite neighbor for the past 25 years. We had the joy of knowing him and listening to Scripture he quoted regarding the present times and the times to come. He was looking forward to meet His Savior and now we know he is enjoying sweet fellowship with Him. We were blessed by his presence and for his inexhaustible desire to be of help. May God now comfort and strengthen you for the road ahead. God bless you! Harvey and Blanca Miller

Nellie Rurh, Phyllis, Alan Dale and grandchildren, Uncle Phil was a lover of birds. He raised Parakeets. They were the most beautiful birds I have a great memory of Dad having received several of the birds gave me a pair. There was one has a purple breast plate in the summer and a beautiful "Goodwin" blue. Then there was the TN Walker named Thior, he would prove to be lncouragable. He was never saddle broke, loved.Kool Super Longs right out of the pack he took out or Dad's shirt pocket, and he loved playing Houdini

Dale, my heart goes out to you and your family. Nothing can fill the void that Phil has left. I pray going forward that all the good memories will cover that void and give you relief from the pain you are feeling. God bless you, your family and all his many friends he acquired in his lifetime with peace.

It is with a deep sense of sadness to learn of Phil's passing. I was also associated with Ingles for many years. Phil became a cornerstone of the community and a friend. I really enjoyed his sense of humor and hearty laugh. I can still recall it as I write this. May great memories bring you peace and comfort during this time.
