Obituary of Gladys Capps Wilson

WEAVERVILLE – Gladys Capps Wilson, age 88, of Weaverville, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019. Gladys was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late William Clyde and Lourie Stanley Capps. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Dale Wilson; sisters, Annie Huffman, and Phyllis McDale Branch; brothers, Earsie, Edd, Andy, and Kenneth Capps. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Rogers; sons, Mike and Roney Wilson; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Emma Jean Capps; brothers, Boyd Capps and wife Vickie, Floyd Capps and wife Joyce, and Walter Capps and wife Bonnie; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Wilson. Her funeral service will be held at 2:.30 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverends Dalton Ramsey and Mark Crowder will officiate. Burial will follow in Capps Family Cemetery-Herron Cove Rd. Weaverville. The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the funeral home.
