Phyllis Stowe posted a condolence

My condolences to Sue's family. I had the pleasure of working with her for 7 years at Flat Creek and North Buncombe Elementary. Through this, she grew close to my heart. We shared some good times and some stressful times but we always knew we had each other's back. She was my support in everything that I did in my classroom and she was an excellent assistant. Being a great mother made her a loving and caring educator to the children. As a person I considered her my friend. Even after she retired we could pick up a conversation as if we were only apart for an hour. Her Christian faith and the love for her family made her someone I wanted to emulate.
What lovely flowers Sue grew! I have never seen such beautiful Zinnas as those she would bring to the classroom.
Sue touched many lives and she will be remember fondly by a great number of people.
With Deepest Sympathy and Love,
Phyllis Stowe
