Obituary of Wilma Stewart Hollifield

BLACK MOUNTAIN – Wilma Stewart Hollifield, age 94, of Black Mountain died Friday, February 21, 2020. Mrs. Hollifield was born July 11, 1925 in Buncombe County to the late Walter and Welzie Carr Stewart; she had lived in Buncombe County all of her life. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Alfred Hollifield. Surviving are her sons, Larry C. Williams and wife Rita Faye and Eddie Williams; sister, Dorothy Dockery and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Whitted Family Cemetery with Rev. David L. Clark officiating. Family and friends may gather at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. to process to the cemetery.
