Aww, Larry was such a gentle soul and a wonderful friend to Ray Shook. Whenever Larry saw Ray he genuinely showed Ray his friendship and always helped him out. He helped him buy a lawnmower at Lowes and never charged Ray interest at the pawn shop. He was a good somebody! A good friend who will be missed! Eileen and Ray

The world will be a lesser place without him. He was a man's man and an angel here on earth. Rest easy little brother. See you soon.

If God were sitting in front of me on my porch I would also thank him and then ask if he would lend you back to us because there is unfinished business between us Larry still owes a big debt for landing on my parking place n the Boardwalk. I believe it’s about a 25-year-old debt thats long overdue. Yep Larry you can thank Jeremy for triggering this forgotten debt, after all he did bail you out! Haha you will forever be with us all and in Spirit for eternity ~
love your favorite cuz,
Jennifer Lynn

Larry, Jonathan, Aimee and I were part of the founding members of the Enka/Candler Home Depot, a time I look back on with many fond memories. We are very sad to hear Larry has passed, there will be no other like him. Our sympathy goes out to Brenda, family and friends. Cindy and Bobby Capps

When Larry Williams was your friend, you had a friend for life. Larry was not shy about standing up for what he believed in, and for what he loved. One of those things he loved, was the Duke University Blue Devils basketball team. He loved Duke above all other teams, yet he seemed to forgive me for my serious character flaw of loving the University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team. We had some good basketball discussions over the years, and we both would have loved one Final Four with North Carolina's 'Big Four Teams'. Duke, Carolina, Wake Forest, and N.C. State, with Duke and Carolina in the final championship game. Someday Larry... some day.

Larry, When I think of some of the best times I had, you was right there. We really became close as I worked my way through College at The Home Depot. During those years you moved up the street from me. We watched a lot of basketball and drank an ocean of beer. After all those years, and that rivalry, you converted me away from the liberal Tarheels. I will say it was more fun cheering against you. We had a lot of good times fishing, camping, and just hanging out. You always tried to get me to ride a bull, but the closest I would ever get was to pull your rope. I learned a lot from you. You knew so much about everything. I think you were the first call I received after I lost my Dad. You stood beside me on my wedding day “photo below”. I didn’t see you as much as we spoke, but I am so thankful we got together a couple weeks back. I am going to miss you more than you know, you ole Cowboy. I love you so much my friend and my brother. I look forward to seeing again when this life is behind.
Brenda, If you ever need anything, I am a phone call away.
All my love to your family and friends!

I never left from having a conversation with Larry without feeling better about myself. Larry had a gift that I cannot put into words. I hope he knows how much he was loved and how many friends he had.
