Obituary of Bobby L. Rawls

ASHEVILLE-Bobby L. Rawls, age 84, of Asheville died Thursday, June 11, 2020. Mr. Rawls was born July 21, 1935 to the late James and Mabel Watford Rawls. He graduated from Western Carolina University with a Criminal Justice Degree. A supervisor with the Juvenile Detention Center; he retired from the Charles George VA Medical Center as a barber. Surviving are his daughters, Tammie Eley and Crystal Rogers; twin sons, Rev. Quin Rawls and Quan Rawls; stepdaughter, Jacquelyn Horne; stepson, Jerome Horne; sister, Elaine Hoggard; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with his son, Rev. Quin Rawls officiating. Burial will be in Sky View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
