Lynn would often accompany me on photography jaunts; this picture is how I will remember Lynn- she LOVED the outdoors. I am so sorry to have lost a great friend, but I am so grateful that our paths crossed for a few years.

The news of Lynn's passing saddens me still. She was such a bright light in so many of our lives, such a gift. My memories of her help me deal with the grief, as they are many and happy. Whether we were gardening, hiking, biking, dining, dancing, driving down the road talking and laughing, singing at the top of our lungs, or simply philosophizing, I always felt like I had a kindred spirit in this world. Lynn's friendship was priceless. There was never a doubt that she loved people, for she made it abundantly clear with all the things she'd say or do. Her laughter and that soft drawl will echo through my mind forever, I believe. She fills such a huge space in my heart. The overflow from all our hearts we can spread to those around us. Mrs. Plemmons, I know that you and Janice have had to let go of little pieces of Lynn for several years now, which has to have been so difficult. Lynn knows peace now, which may bring you peace, but still, you grieve, as do I. Not often does a soul such as Lynn's cross our paths. I feel blessed that she crossed mine and chose to skip along beside me for a while. How lucky we were to love her!

Mrs Plemmons and Janice, we are so sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. She was such a wonderful, kind and always smiling person, and her sense of humor always welcomed . Truly enjoyed having her as my Assistant And JV Coach. She did a fantastic job coaching at the Middle school as well, her girls were always ready when they got to us at the high school... The only thing I regret was I couldn’t convince her to take over at the high School, she would have done fantastic. Sending love hugs and prayers..... Ricky and Frank

Dear Melba and Janice,
I just wanted to say I am so deeply saddened and so sorry for the loss of Lynn and I want you both to know how much she was loved by Mollie and myself. I will forever be grateful and continue to feel blessed with beautiful memories of her and she will always be my one and only little Dancing Queen! I will never forget that great big smile and our dance.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to care for Lynn and for letting me be a part of her life.....and for a beautiful memory of a beautiful person. I can't begin to tell you how much my life was touched by her. I can see her now......my little dancing Queen.....she was so full of life!
Yes, even under the circumstances of her illness she would always make me smile.....
Especially the day we went to Petco and she grabbed a big handful of yummy (so she thought) dog biscuits and then proceeded to give me that look like.....and what do you think your going to do about it?? Then gave me that great big grin. I laughed with her so so much that day. She was so precious. And, I was so blessed to have spent such special precious time with her and to have known her! Thank you my dear friends for such a gift in knowing Lynn!
Please know...
My thoughts and prayers and love will be with you and your family these days to come and I will be forever grateful for the gift in knowing Lynn!
Love to you all and condolences, Gwen

So very sorry. I played basketball with her, and she taught my son. She was an exceptional athlete, and one of my son's favorite teachers. She was one of the few teachers he had that actually cared. She was a good person, and will be missed.

Ms. Melba and Janice, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lynn. She was a coach, a teammate, a competitor, but most of all a friend. We shared many memories on and off the softball field. I worked so hard to pattern my game after hers and hit that ball to the right side. She had an awesome smile and a very caring heart. She will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lynn was my favorite teacher and made a huge impact on my life and career. I had her in sixth grade and Madison Middle. Recently found her on Facebook and sent a friend request but had no idea she was sick; just saw her obituary and am absolutely gutted. Lynn was full of spunk, made us laugh, and was cool all around. She was also very sensitive and compassionate. In business meetings to this day, I occasionally show off and lighten the mood by throwing a wadded up piece of paper across the room into the waste basket and saying, “Swish!” And I always think of her when I do it because that was something she used to lighten the mood in class and make the lessons fun. Rest in peace; you will be missed but not forgotten. <3

I was so terribly saddened when I heard of Lynn’s passing. I worked with Lynn at Enka Middle as one of the other LA teachers in the 8th grade. She was a part of my daily life. She retired a year before me. Broke my heart then. We all would sit around and plan lessons or laugh at each other’s stories. She taught me to love Harry Potter. Many memories. She was a kind soul with a laugh that was full. I had kept in touch with her for a few years and I had no idea she was going through this. I hope I will know of her memorial because she was a part of my school life. I pray for your healing. Alzheimers such an evil disease.
