Mrs. Bradley was my 5th grade teacher at North Buncombe Elementary School. That year was a tough year for me as a child. My mother was in an abusive marriage and I had to carry the burden as being an abused child. She was always there to give me a hug and a smile. That is also the same class I met my best friend for life. I will never forget her. Her smiles and hugs will live on forever in my heart. She helped me get through so much during that year. I now tell my kids what a wonderful 5th grade teacher I had. You will always be loved Mrs. Bradley. Thank you for everything.

I am so saddened to hear of the death of one of my former teachers. Mrs Bradley was my 5th grade teacher at Red Oak Elementary and by far one of my favorites. What great memories I have of my little red brick school. Mrs Bradley was a big part of those memories. She was stern on the boys especially but always so fun and loving. I remember her telling us she had two sons and they were OUR age. That was exciting and she talked about them often. She allowed us to be kids. She was a beautiful person and I always had great admiration for her. Please accept my deapest sympathy for your loss.

Dave, John and I just learned of Pat's death. We are so sorry. Although we only got to talk to Pat a few times, while passing on Haney Creek Road, we thought she was a lovely, cheerful and kind person. We are sure you and your family are broken hearted. Take care and be well and know that you are in our thoughts. Warmly, John and Sandy Whitehouse

My husband, Pete, and myself had the good fortune to be neighbors to Pat and Dave on Sugar Cove for a little over 22 years. The last time I saw Pat she was being chaufered by Al heading home. As she always did, she stopped to chat for a minute. She was as she has always been welcoming, smiling and laughing at my dumb jokes. I have always thought of Dave and Pat as people who were especially blessed by a positive outlook on life no matter the trials and with a true love for their fellow humans. It has been a true pleasure to have known Pat and Dave and I offer our sincere condolences to Dave, Al and all Pat's family for the loss of a wonderful treasure. Pete and Cate McHugh

Pat and I met at Red Oak School in 1977, my first year as librarian there. She taught across the hall from the library and I was able to hear and see what a gifted and caring teacher she was. We moved on to North Buncombe Elementary. Pat will always be in my memory as not only a marvelous teacher, but a wonderful friend. My heart and prayers go out to all of her family.

My most sincere condolences for David, Debbie, Davie and Al. I have a lot of very fond memories of Pat, and Granny Fleming [Hazel]. Of course it was Pat bringing me one of Granny’s Chocolate Pies every Saturday, even when Granny didn’t feel like coming. She was always a person that I looked forward to seeing. She is now in a much better place.

I served with Pat Bradley for many years on the board of the Black Mountain Home. Pat brought her expertise in education, her sincere Christian faith, and her wisdom to her work there. More importantly, she brought her genuine love and empathy for children to every discussion and every decision. She was truly guided by what was best for the children and youth the Home serves. Pat, it was a joy to know you. Condolences to all your family.

Mrs. Bradley was my 4th grade teacher at Red Oak. She was alway caring and kind. I have seen her many times over the years and she always remembered my name. I enjoyed our talks. While I am sorry to hear her final years were not easy, I am thankful to know that she is with her Heavenly Father. I am so thankful to have had Mrs. Bradley make an impression on my life at a young age. She was a beautiful person!
