Dr. Hightower and Family,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. I met your wife at Wytheville Community College and felt immediately at ease with her. Her smile was what I remember the most. May God comfort you in this difficult time and in the days ahead. So young to leave this world. Now at rest with no more pain. God bless each of you.

The world is diminished without Helen. We were lucky, and very happy, to know her. We miss her so.

Bill and Megan,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of a truly exceptional person.
Helen and I worked together at John Tyler twelve years ago. I remember the joy that she brought to the workplace every day. We enjoyed many laughs over our mutual age and family foibles. Helen could find the positive in most any situation!
Recently I ran across her recipe for raspberry salad dressing. I made it again, and thought of the year Helen made it for all of us at Tyler and presented it in lovely bottles. Such a thoughtful gift and one that is still remembered!
Helen was a blessing in my life!

We knew Helen from many years ago when she attended Flat Creek Baptist Church in Weaverville, NC. She would come with either her Dad and Mom or her Uncle and Aunt, Alton and Mary Carson. We had a lot of good times together. Especially in youth group or sleepovers. Helen was always smiling and happy. A beautiful person. Please accept our condolences. May God give you comfort and strength. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I never saw Helen without a smile. She had a twinkle in her eye and a wonderful sense of humor. Helen genuinely cared for others and will be greatly missed.

I met Helen and her husband at lunch at O Charley's a couple of years ago and enjoyed talking to her about the counseling profession. I could tell she was a devoted counselor and a caring person. The picture of her on this site is lovely. She was so beautiful!
