Obituary of Doris L. Shaw

ASHEVILLE – Doris L. Shaw, age 88 of Asheville went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus early on Saturday, August 22, 2020 after a brief illness. Mrs. Shaw was born February 28, 1932 in Fabius, NY to the late Howard and Florence Murdent. She had lived in the Asheville area since June 1988. Mrs. Shaw loved the Lord Jesus with all of her heart, and because of that love she enjoyed giving hospitality to others through cooking, baking and canning. She was a member of the former Cornerstone Church Asheville. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Louis Carlton Shaw who died in 2011. She is survived by her only child, Keith Shaw of the home; a number of nieces and nephews and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Private burial was at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville.
