Obituary of Louise Atkins Fenwick

BARNARDSVILLE – Louise Atkins Fenwick, age 85, of Barnardsville, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020.

Mrs. Fenwick was born August 20, 1935 in Buncombe County to the late William Roscoe and Ruby Burleson Atkins; she was a resident of Buncombe County all of her life. She was a graduate of Barnardsville High School. Louise retired from Oakley school as a crossing guard.  She was a member of Barnardsville Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Andrew Fenwick, Sr. who died in 2010; her son, Mack Andrew “Andy” Fenwick, Jr.; and her brother, Carlos Atkins.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Lorraine Buckner Atkins; niece, Kim Poore and husband Will; nephew, Bill Atkins and wife Lisa; great niece Marissa Atkins; and daughter-in-law, Connie Fenwick.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 20, 2020 in Burleson Cemetery, North Fork Road, Barnardsville. Her nephew, Wayne Atkins, will officiate and provide music.

Mrs. Fenwick will be available for viewing, Sunday between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the funeral home. The family will not be present.

The family would like to thank Kaylee Christian and Becky Surrett for the love and care they gave Louise.
