Obituary of Sieglinde Davis

ASHEVILLE – Sieglinde Davis, age 85, of Asheville, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Mrs. Davis was born March 10, 1935 in Kerzenheim, Germany and became a US Citizen in 1997. Always active, she was involved with numerous churches, singing, and enjoyed gospel quartets.  Sieglinde was a member of the Civil Air Patrol.  She had a passion for  floral design and provided flowers for many weddings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Davis who died in 1973; and loving companion, Ted Lunsford who died in 2011.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Clontz and husband Eddy, and Sandra Rinehart and husband Gerald all of Enka-Candler, Tona Yost and husband Gary of Florida, and Judy Lunsford of Asheville; sons, Steve Davis and wife Donna of Enka, and John McKay and wife Marsha of Candler; grandchildren, Nathaniel Clontz, Rebecca Roberts, Jessica Plowucha, Travis McKay, Hilary Williams, Amanda Singleton, Felisha Rigdon, Jacob Davis, Kyle Rinehart and Brooke Graham; twelve great grandchildren, Hayley, Memphis, Ashlynn, Kaleb, Madison, Jayden, Brighton, Everett, Scarlette, Ottilie, Aven and one on the way.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler.

For those who wish to pay their respects, Mrs. Davis will be available for viewing between 10:00 am and 1:00 p.m., Sunday at West Funeral Home, Weaverville. The family will not be present.

Per the NC Governor, masks are required.
