Peggy was a kind and wonderful woman. She welcomed me in to the Kiwanis club and always had a seat waiting for me at our meetings. We had conversations and laughed and shared stories, no matter the nearly 60 years of age between us. She was just as spunky and light hearted as anyone I know and that is likely why all the children Kiwanis helps just loved Ms. Peggy. We will miss her so much. My thoughts are with all of her family and friends.

So sorry for your loss. I use to help her order and printed all of her photos from her adventures for her. She has crossed my mind several times. I always looked forward to seeing pictures from the trips.

Carol and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom so very good to me when we were growing up. I can remember the fun times we had with fond memories. Peggy was always so welcoming and made all of us (your friends) feel so special. She was indeed a wonderful person. Every time I ran into her in later life she told me about you and your family. She was truly proud of you and spoke with much love.
Special prayers for you and your entire family.

Carole, so sorry for your loss. We had a nice conversation recently.. I know these last few months have been a challenge with Covid and her injury’s but she told me how wonderful you were to her and how grateful she was for your family. I have many good memories of her in childhood and grateful that she reached out when my Grandmother died a few years ago. You’re all in my prayers .

My husband, Ralph Campbell, was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Asheville and for many years sat next to Peggy at their lunch time meetings. He spoke of her many times as being such a kind and friendly person. Ralph passed away almost two years ago and prior to his death he still wanted to attend the Kiwanis meetings. Peggy was so helpful and kind to him, making sure he had his lunch and always getting him dessert and that extra cup of coffee. I am so grateful to her for being so kind to him and being such a good friend. My prayers go out to her family.

Our dearest Peggy K family,
What fun times we had over the last 50 years of friendship. We had so many laughs with our Kmart family at the picnics and Christmas parties-such wonderful memories. Peggy was included in our girl's lives and the grandchildren's baby showers, birthdays and church activities. We sorta drifted over the last few years with Terry's loss of health, but we still cherished all of you. So glad that Peggy and Terry got to talk a couple of weeks ago. Holding you close in our hearts for the coming days and thank you for sharing your Mother, Grandmother, aunt and sister with us.
Much love,
Terry and Janet Herren

I have very many fond memories of Ms. Peggy! She was such a jolly spirit and treated my kids like they were her own when they were in Kmart! We had such fun times putting on the Halloween carnival games and doing the bingos and cake walks!
My condolences to her family.
