I had the opportunity to work with Bob for several years as part of an Advanced Manufacturing Automation Team at Square D. His methodical approach and attention to detail on every task earned him the respect of the entire team and contributed greatly to our success. He taught me many things but the most important lesson was that it’s easier to do a job correctly the first time and avoid redoing it. I very much appreciated his contributions to our team as well as his friendship.

So sorry to learn of Bobby's passing. He was a highly competent professional in his field and made a major contribution to Square D Company during his employment years. He was highly respected by everyone and as Bill Keys noted, he was the "go to guy" when technical expertise was required. His easy going demeanor set the standard for being a true team player who never found fault with others or exhibited any negativity. He was a model associate. My condolences to his family. Here for you if you need assistance with life insurance or other administrative issues.

I was Bobby's supervisor at the Square D Asheville plant, and was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was an original member of our Electronics and Controls group. When the group was first formed around current employees in the early 1970s, he was quickly identified as already having the core talents to immediately enable us to meet our responsibility of keeping Asheville competitive in the areas of controls and automation manufacturing. Over the years, due to his deep experience and the training he received during his service in the U.S. Navy, he met and exceeded that responsibility, becoming our "go-to" guy, especially when key manufacturing equipment went down. I had an often-used phrase "when things are in pieces all over the floor, we want Bobby to be there". When there was a need for new ideas on a particularly difficult customer requirement, He could be counted on to contribute to the innovation and provide custom fabrication expertise to meet whatever the situation demanded. He will be remembered as a very talented craftsman who, for decades, played a solid and dependable role in the success and longevity of the Asheville facility. My sincere condolences to his family during this time.
