Dearest Tarry Family,
Sending prayers and healing energy to you in this difficult time.
I worked with Will at Deloitte and had the pleasure of being his recruiting partner for Columbia Business School when I was a Manager in the Financial Services practice. His intellect and wry humor kept me on my toes & we had a lot of fun recruiting for the firm. He made a positive impact on my career and I'm grateful for the time we spent together.
Sincerest condolences,
Renee LaRoche-Morris

Tracy and family,
As a partner of Will's for many years, while I never met you, I feel like I know you through the stories and love that Will shared. We worked together in various capacities, including reorg work, Deloitte's analyst/consultant program, and various M&A clients. The attached picture was taken in Scottsdale at analyst school just a couple of weeks before 9/11.
I loved Will's passion for all of you, his intellect, dry wit, and laid-back manner. We had a wonderful dinner together about a year before he retired which I will cherish. A donation has been made in Will's memory to Duke, and I hope that the joy of Will's life can provide you some comfort in this most difficult time.

Like others, I worked with Will. Even though we spent many days and nights and one or two weekends working side by side, I can't recall what we specifically were doing. What I do vividly recall is when we went out to dinners after work and Will's work-time quiet intensity turned into evening peace and joy as he talked about his family. The stories of bath time for the boys brought a light to Will's eyes that was inspiring ("...shrieking and running around and water everywhere! Scott, I tell ya there is nothing more fun...).
I didn't know Will like his family and friends did, but I am hurt that such a wonderful person can be taken so young. I can't imagine the pain of those who were closer to him.
Bless you all - and thank you Will for an example of a life well lived.

Dear Tracy, Will, Charlie, and Alston,
I worked with Will at Deloitte on the Pfizer account for many years. My most treasured memory of Will was playing golf with him and a few colleagues at his club in Bronxville. We had such a wonderful time together. He was such a humble and generous man. I was very fond of him.
My heart hurts greatly for your loss. My sincere condolences. My prayers are with you all.

Tracy and the boys:
My heart is breaking for you all. Will was an amazing colleague and partner. Smart as a whip, understated, sarcastic, with an extremely dry wit. He was loyal, fun and a devoted Husband and Dad...... so extremely proud of his family.... you guys.
We shared an administrative professional, Jeannette, for many years. We would celebrate special occasions together with Jeannette. So in addition to our professional opportunities to work together on Deloïtte Firm and client things, our special times of gratitude and joy to celebrate our team will always be remembered.
Will will be fondly remembered ..... a wonderful human being. I’m SO very sorry for your loss. Know your Deloïtte family is here for you.

Dear Tracy, Will, Charlie, and Alston,
I worked with Will at Deloitte a number of years ago. He was an amazing leader and person. He brought a balance of levity to every situation and knew how to mentor and grow the younger consultants on his teams. I learned so much from him, remember so many of his one-liners, and much of who I am today as a leader is a result of what Will taught me. He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Tracy and family:
I was so saddened to hear of Will's passing. I will cherish wonderful memories of him. He was hilarious, kind, and understated. Having the opportunity to know and enjoy the company of extraordinary people like Will is one of the reasons I count myself fortunate to have attended Duke.
Tracy, I don't know how it is that so many of us lose touch over the years; I certainly regret it. But reading the obituary, I see the story of a life well-lived, a family well-loved, and the legacy of a fine person, father, husband and friend. And that fits right in with the character and soul of the Will Tarry I remember.
Know that you and your family are in my thoughts, and that I will always remember Will fondly.

I am very saddened to learn of Will’s passing. I worked closely with Will at Deloitte on many projects until my retirement from the Firm in 2016. Will met every challenge with grace, unfailing good humor, and an incandescent intellect. I always treasured every opportunity to work with Will. He was truly the embodiment of a very good man and a role model for us all. He will be missed.

Dear Tracy and family,
I was shocked to hear the news about Will. He was a great friend and mentor to me over the past 20 years. At Deloitte, when I was promoted to Managing Director, you selected someone to help you make the transition to the Partner or Principal level. I selected Will based on the many work experiences we had shared over the previous few years. What I did not know at first, was that the firm would expect us to be very transparent and share things that were deeply personal. That can be difficult for me. True to form, Will made it easier by making sure that he shared first! He shared his feelings for his family and his upbringing, some funny things about marriage and raising a family, and his incredible love for you four. He also told me how proud he was of you three boys, even back then when you were all small. He continued to glow with pride as he shared your accomplishments in high school and lately college.
Tracy, he was such a humorous man that he probably teased you a lot (I know he did me!), but I can tell you that he worshipped you. I remember once we were at a hotel in Baltimore; Will was grumbling a bit over some house project that you wanted. At the end of discussing the task, he said, "I just complain a bit so she will know it is a sacrifice, the truth is that I would do anything for her.....and be happy about it!".
I am so sorry for you all. I pray that God will comfort you and help you through this time.
