Obituary of Christel Maria Wiker

BURNSVILLE – Christel Maria Wiker, age 85, of Burnsville, died Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Mrs. Wiker was born on July 25, 1935 in Germany.  She was a resident of Yancey County for the past fifteen years.  In addition to her parents, Hanz and Gertrude Lux Bergman, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Charles Wiker, Jr. who died in 2004.

Surviving are six children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Connie Downey, 6 Amber Knoll Court, Weaverville.

West Funeral Home in Weaverville is assisting the family.
