Obituary of Harley Monroe Johnston

WEAVERVILLE – Harley Monroe Johnston, age 48, of Weaverville, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 3, 2021.

Harley was born April 4, 1973 in Virginia, to Patricia Fore Johnston and the late, Robert F. Johnston; he was a resident of Buncombe County most of his life. Harley  was a graduate of Owen High School and worked for Skyland Distributor for 17 years.  He attended Trinity Baptist Church

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Haley Johnston; sister, Tanya Turner and husband Jason; brother, Robert “Bobby” Johnston and wife Barbara; as well as several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021  in Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville. Reverend Allen Rash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.  – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville.

Per the NC Governor, masks are required inside the building.
