I can’t begin to describe the profoundly positive influence that James had in my life. He was part of ‘the village’ that raised me. His smile could light up a room. His joy sometimes spilled over and contagiously lit up others. He was genuine, loving, kind, wise and present. His marriage to my beloved cousin Lucille was an inspiration to me of the way that marriage could/should be. They gave me three amazing cousins, you three fascinate me. I relish all of the time that I got to play with Ronnie and Darrell growing up; they both had Jame’s ‘joie de vivre’! I love you Parkers all very much! I am sad to have missed the service for James, but my heart was there.Thank you James, for all you have given me. My love to you all.

Ron (plus Darrell & Avery), It would be almost impossible to describe what a kind and generous man your father was. Always humorous, always sweet-tempered. I have so many wonderful memories, but most of all, I can hear his bountiful laugh as if he were in the room as I type this. I’ll look forward to visiting his resting place up at Pleasant Grove…. And hope to see you soon. Terry Roberts

There truly aren’t words to express the depth of gratitude I have for all Uncle James brought to my life. He had the most eloquent way of expressing his thoughts and feelings. He shared wisdom with such kindness and compassion. He brought God’s ever-present light to some of the dark moments after my Mom went to be with Jesus. My life has been forever impacted by all he brought to it. While my heart aches in knowing he is no longer here, I rejoice in the extraordinary celebration taking place in Heaven for this extraordinary soul. Much love…Until we meet again…-Tamara

Ron, Darrell, Avery........ I could not begin to tell what I feel......... not even close. Just as I cannot know how much you will miss your father. James and I had a special bond. He was my teacher...... in Sunday school, in church, in life. If he did nothing else in this life he gave wisdom, strenght and much insight to a wandering soul. He showed me things I would have never seen without him. I so looked forward to each chat with him as I knew when I left his home I would be better for it. I brought him many questions, he showed me many answers. I know God used him in a special way. Some things he passed on to me came straight from the throne of God, no other way could he have delivered the inspiration he passed to me and I know to many others. As a child I looked to him as Moses with his white hair and great stature. As a grown man I see why I did. The best part is knowing his reward for a life long dedication to his Lord and saviour. I close my eyes and I again see James and Lucille arm in arm smiling in heaven. I am a better person for knowing one James Parker. He fought the good fight and now has won the race. Thank you James.

Ronnie, Darrel and Avery,
I'm sorry to hear of your father's death. I will always remember James and Lucille. The picture that is posted showed what a beautiful and loving couple they were. They will always be in my childhood church memories. I'm sure they are together in heaven with Jesus.

I am so sorry for your loss. James and I became friends in 1961 at Glidden until he retired in 1990. Working with someone that long gave us the opportunity to become close friends.
My prayers are with you during this time of loss. I do rejoice with you in the hope of heaven.
