Obituary of Anna Roberts Dillingham

ASHEVILLE – Anna R. Dillingham, 91, of Asheville died on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home.

A native of Buncombe county, she was born on February 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Carter Roberts.

Anna retired from Square D after many years of service. She was a long-time active member of Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church of Asheville. She loved serving her Lord and serving her church and church family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Council Dillingham, Jr.; a son, Troy Lee Dillingham; a brother, R. Cline Roberts; and two sisters, Virginia R. Morgan and Leta R. Whitaker.

Mrs. Dillingham is survived by her daughter, Rita Dillingham of Asheville; a granddaughter, Catherine Dillingham Williams and her husband, Justin, of Washington, DC; a daughter in law, Susan Dillingham of SC; a brother in law, Boyce Dillingham of Indiana; and two sisters in law, June Roberts of Asheville and Minevia Thurman of Indiana.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, June 5, at Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sean McCann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Mrs. Dillingham will be entombed privately at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
