I remember going to see Earl's younger brother Curtis in the Green Hill Community. This was in the 50's. Curtis was my age and Daniel was grown and gone by that time. Curtis told me how Earl had gathered medicinal plants and roots to sell to medical companies; ginseng, yellow root, etc. And also he made charcoal to sell to independent mom & pop stores around N C. I thought that Earl was really a unique man. He was a good family man and a loving, devout Christian.

Karen,Jodi and family:
I know your father will be greatly missed, there is just no way around it when you love someone and they get to Heaven before you. I know I still miss my parents; just spending time with them, talking to them, hearing them talk about relatives and how things were "back then", going to church and singing with them. There are lots of memories, some better than others, but all are cherished because they remember our loved one.
I am sure he would want all of you to be ready to join him in glory when Jesus calls. Until then we keep living the way they taught us and always give thanks to the Lord for He is always good and will never forsake us even in the valley of the shadow of death. Praying you "fear no evil".

Certainly Earl will be missed. He had a smile on his face every time you saw him and a kind word every time we spoke. May God give you grace and comfort at this time.
Sincerely
Jerry Webb and family

Karen, thank you so much for sharing many great stories of your dad with me. I'm glad I got to bring him some of the eggs he loved. I hope you'll find some comfort in knowing he's been reunited with loved ones in Heaven. Love you and thinking of you, JulieH
