Obituary of Pauline White Burrell

BARNARDSVILLE – Pauline White Burrell, age 94, of Barnardsville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Mrs. Burrell was born August 29, 1927 in Buncombe County to the late Luther and Alice White. She was a resident of Buncombe County all of her life. Pauline loved children, and tending to her flowers, especially her multi-colored daylilies. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Burrell who died in 1991; son, Jerry Burrell; grandson, Barry Burrell; sisters,  Dorothy Edwards, Lona Edwards and Ina Hutchins; half-sisters, Ann Costa and Margaret; and half-brothers, Carson Hutchins and Charles Hutchins.

Surviving are her sons, Jim Burrell and wife Brenda and Randy Burrell and wife Ruby; sister, Alice Gilson; and several grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Avenue, Weaverville.  Reverend Larry Coates will officiate. Mrs. Burrell will be laid to rest in Paint Fork Cemetery, at a private burial due to weather and conditions.
