Obituary of Doris M. Osterling

Doris M. Osterling, age 96, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Mrs. Osterling was born November 29, 1924, to the late Joseph and Lenore High Armstrong.  She was raised and lived most of her life in Lafayette, IN until moving more recently to North Carolina to live near her daughter.  She was a homemaker who loved gardening, cross stitching, reading, cooking and baking.  An active member who loved her church, the First Reformed Church of Lafayette, she was involved in the choir, playing the piano, Sunday school, and vacation bible school. A wonderful mom and grandma, she loved everyone she met, and they loved her.  She had a beautiful smile and was always supportive to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Osterling and son, Max Osterling, and brother, Roy Armstrong.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda Lewis and husband Ron; grandchildren, Treva Walters (Brian Boyd), Adra Oglesby (Rich); and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date in Indiana.
