I just found out about the passing of Eric. We served together with the 334th TFS as Crew Chiefs on the F4-E at Seymour Johnson AFB N.C. I taught Eric on the F4-E when he first arrived at Seymour. He told me a few years ago that no matter what he made a mistake on i was always patient and explained in detail what needed to be done . It was a compliment i have never forgotten. Prayers for his family and May You Rest in Peace Brother.

We just found out about Eric's passing. We are so sorry for your loss. We first met Eric and Patti at their ice cream shop when we were on vacation in Franklin, NC and became friends. We would always make it a point to visit with them and dedicate an evening to have dinner with Eric and Patti. It was always a fun evening. Eric taught us about Fat Buddies for good barbecue. We would enjoy putting together a wonderful package of goodies from Wisconsin to bring for them so they could savor the treats after our visit. We had hoped some day they both could have come to Wisconsin for a visit and we could show off our state and hospitality to them.
May your hearts and minds be at peace knowing the Lord has welcomed Eric into his kingdom where he can be at peace and in his arms.
God's Blessings,
Rita and Bil Scherrer

I worked with Eric many years ago at The Rathbun Center. He was a warm and caring person who was a delight to work with. He was a dedicated father to his daughters. I send my sympathy to all his family. Rest In Peace, Eric.
