Obituary of Drusilla Renee Smith

ASHEVILLE – Drusilla “Renee” Smith, age 61, of Asheville gained her angel wings after a short battle with cancer.

Renee was born July 14, 1960, in Buncombe County, to the late James and Helena Pike Smith. She had lived all her life in Buncombe County. Renee loved cooking, baking, arts and crafts, coloring, and making Christmas ornaments. She loved everyone and never met a stranger; always making people feel welcome. Renee will be greatly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Smith.

Surviving are her sister, Kim Worley and husband Jeff of Leicester; brothers, Jim Smith and wife Diane of Fayetteville and Larry Smith of Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend Sandy Johnson.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Reverend Wesley Pike will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the funeral home.
