Obituary of Albert Augustus Buckner

Albert A. Buckner, age 54, of Fletcher went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

Albert was born June 15, 1967, in Buncombe County, to the late Samuel Clay and Violet May Buckner. He was a resident of Buncombe County most of his life. Albert loved hunting, fishing, cars, football, music, his dogs and most of all, his family.

Albert loved and supported his family. He was always there to be a listening ear and to provide comforting hugs. He stood up for what he believed in and was always lending a helping hand. Albert had a laugh that would light up a room and a smile that will be missed.

Albert is survived by his wife, Shannon Buckner; daughter, Chelsea Louise (Buckner) Davis and son in law, Zachary Trent Davis; sisters, Sandra Howell and husband Ray, Eillen Britt and husband Bill, Virginia Warren, Charlotte Franks and husband Eddie, and Susan Hagan; brother, Sammy Buckner and wife Gigi; 11 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and five great-great nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Reverend Kemuel Pruitt will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at West Funeral Home.
