Obituary of Charles L. Trexler

LEICESTER – Charles L. Trexler, age 82, of Leicester passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Trexler was the son of the late Charles “Buck” Trexler, Sr. and Clara Weatherford Every and was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was a veteran of the US Airforce and retired from American Enka/BASF after 38 years of service. His family was his biggest concern and source of pride. Charles was a loving and supportive husband and father who provided for his wife and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Trexler and sister, Susie Pressley.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Janice Buckner Trexler; daughter, Shana Buckelew and husband Brook; son, Brian Trexler and wife Julie; sister, Joyce Harris; three grandsons, Josh, Jonah and Talon; and two great granddaughters, Layla and Harlowe.

His graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2022, in Sky View Memorial Park with Rev. Kent Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2022, at West Funeral Home.

Masks will be required.
