I am so saddened to hear of Virginia's passing - she was a dear friend to me since childhood. This is a photo of our JV cheerleading squad in 1975 when we were getting ready to participate in the Asheville Christmas parade. Not only was Virginia a fellow cheerleader with me, she was always a church friend growing up in the Weaverville Presbyterian Church.
Always a positive influence who was willing to support those around her, Virginia was one of the most selfless people I have known. She was someone I looked up to and counted on for support. I am sending so much love to her family, especially her sweet sisters - Vicki and Donna. I know she is heaven with her Mom and Dad celebrating! Rest In Peace friend❤️❤️❤️

My heartfelt condolences are with the Moss family as they mourn the loss of their beloved, Virginia. Quite a few years ago, Virginia came across a very old Bible printed in Great Britain at University Press in Oxford (London, England). Knowing we were both believers, she asked if I would like it. She said, “It just doesn’t seem right to throw it away because it’s so old.” She knew it was an unspeakable treasure; it's even more meaningful to me now.
Even amid extreme adversity, Virginia was a mainstay with her work always bringing an element of fun to everything she did and everyone she knew. She was the consummate party planner, too, even down to festive table décor and always ensuring a certain component of fun was included for all. Virginia loved Christmas more than anyone I know because of “why” we celebrate it as Christians, first, and the most important reason of all - the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I always loved her merry outfits and of course, always matching earrings! Her simple, uncomplicated mindset about living life to its fullest is a memory I’ll always cherish about Virginia.
May those closest to her be comforted in knowing that God had her days planned and recorded before the foundation of the world was created (Psalm 139:16). She is a chosen, kept, and beloved child of God for eternity. Even though her presence will be missed in this world, the life she lived and legacy she leaves behind will be forever with us.
May the grace and peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ be with her family and those closest to her now and forevermore.
In His Love,
Lee Gossett
