Obituary of Walton Herbert Boring, III
WEAVERVILLE - Walton “Tony” Boring passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3rd surrounded by his adoring children at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Weaverville, NC at the age of 75.
He was born on November 2, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia and was a dedicated father and die hard romantic. He loved photography and art and had a successful career as an art curator at David Tunick Inc. in New York City and then later joined New Morning Gallery in Asheville. He loved working at New Morning Gallery as it was the perfect mixture of meeting and socializing with people and art sales. He passionately loved animals and always cared for cats and dogs, often recues that he would save and shelter. He was a gentle man, with soft blue/grey eyes. He was sensitive and thoughtful. These wonderful qualities were brought to life through the beauty of his photography and art. Tony’s work was often represented in art shows throughout his life.
Tony is survived by his beloved children, Alexandra “Zanni” Boekelheide, Justin Boring and his beloved brother, Jeffrey Boring.
