Sam you were a wonderful husband ,dad ,grandfather ,great grandfather,and friend. You were smart and witty . You loved with all your heart. To the family, I am deeply saddened by the grief you are feeling. Knowing of God's love for you, continue to look to him when "he will wipe out all tears from our eyes, death, pain, and suffering will be no more. Papa, I cherish you and Nonnie. I used present tense here because even though the physical you has passed, I will *always* cherISH the two of you. And that will forever be a present statement. I pray that dad (your son) and Jesus have both greeted you at the gates of Heaven and it’s the most beautiful thing you have ever seen (besides Nonnie of course). Before you know it 55 years of marriage with your lifelong love will be nothing shy of an eternity and you will be in one another’s arms again… I will forever look up to you and Nonnie as my role models and inspiration whenever life’s times get tough and challenging for Mikey and I.
