Obituary of Jane Sevier Haerle Lewis

WEAVERVILLE/ MATTHEWS – Jane Sevier Haerle Lewis, age 75, of Matthews formerly of Weaverville, died Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Mrs. Lewis was born August 28, 1946, in Buncombe County to the late Robert Vance Haerle and Mary Sevier Haerle Carson.  She had lived in Weaverville for many years and resided in Matthews for the past 40 years. Jane was a first-grade teacher for 42 years.  She loved people, especially her family.

She is survived by her husband Bill Lewis; and sons, Sid Lewis and wife Mary Jo and family, and Alton Lewis and wife Jenni.

Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, in West Memorial Park, 40 Roberts Street, Weaverville.  Reverend Marjory Kiess will officiate.

West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
