Mrs. Fulbright was our wonderful neighbor for 16+ years. She was so kind to my family and always remembered us at Christmas time.
I already miss waving to her in the backyard, sitting in the sun, with her precious Adele.

Dear Scott and Family,
Suzie and I were sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember delivering a baby squirrel to her for rehab because I knew she had the tenderness and patience to give it the care it needed. I’m sure her caring and compassionate spirit was poured out on her family and God’s creation without reservation. We will be praying for you all during this season of great loss.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Miss Marie. I've had the absolute privilege to serve Miss Marie in taking care of her lawn maintenance. She quickly became one of my favorite people. We both loved to cut up and have fun. She was always very quick to come back with a response every time.
She would tell me how thankful she was for making her lawn look like a golf course. But she was also very quick to tell me when I had a helper that wasn't doing things right.
I also had the privilege of sharing little surprises with her. It would always bring a big smile. I would cut flowers from her yard that she couldn't see and give them to her to put inside. The last time she told me that it had been such a long time since a man had given her flowers, with a little look in her eyes. We both had a great laugh.
I don't belive there has been a time that she didn't tell me to tell my sweet wife hello for her. What a joy.
Her smile will be missed.

Growing up in Weaverville, and attending school with the Fullbright kids, I have many warm and fond memories of Marie. She was truly a kind woman who loved serving her family and those around her. Many happy hours were spent eating at her table (apple pie with Cheddar cheese!), playing with her kids, and just enjoying a glorious childhood in a safe and innocent time. Marie adored her husband and children! I remember once after a football game at North Buncombe HS, we were walking out of the stadium (Cindy and I played in the band) and I saw Marie and Albert walking out holding hands. It was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen!
My prayer for Cindy, Tim, Scott and Christy is that you can comfort each other with happy and funny memories of your Mom. So much of her lives in you now. Remind each other to be joyful through your resurrection faith, because you WILL see her again, and not only is she with her beloved Albert, she is safe and whole in the arms of Jesus.
