Obituary of Marie Fullbright

 

WEAVERVILLE – Marie Fullbright, age 85, of Weaverville, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at Mission Hospital.

 

She was born December 2, 1936, in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Samuel Golden and Carolyn McNeil Ball. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her soulmate and husband of 56 years, Albert Fullbright who died in 2011; granddaughter, Marilyn Fullbright; a son-in-law, Wayne Kinser; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Fullbright.

 

Marie was the “Mom” to the neighborhood; a lifelong homemaker and cook extraordinaire and wanted to feed everyone she could.  She loved animals of all types, especially her beloved canine companion, Adele. She was a hard-working woman with a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor.

 

Surviving are her children, daughters, Cindy Fullbright and Christy Fullbright (Steve Smith); sons, Tim Fullbright (Kim) and Scott Fullbright (Hazel); five grandchildren, Natalie Rice, Kelsey Fullbright, Anna James, Courtney Fullbright, and Katelyn Fullbright; and five great grandsons, Heath, Nicholas, Dax, Amos, and Mack.

 

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at West Memorial Park, Weaverville. Reverend Dr. Robert Blackburn, Jr. will officiate.
